May 1 - Leave Firenze, drive to Trent, through Brenner Pass & into Austria; Our first view of Austria; Innsbruck, we spend the night here.
May 2 - We sightsee in Innsbruck before driving to Germany.
May 2 - Höscheler Family Reunion in Lindau! Bergenz, Austria (after lunch & road races in San Anton); Beautiful Linda; At Haus Höscheler; Remembers Uncle Frank from the '50s.
May 3 - Wolfgang and family give us a first rate tour of Lindau!

May 4 - Augsburg (for the night); Protestant and Catholic churches abut; Fuggerei, 1519 social settlement.
May 5 - Dachau. Chilling.
May 5 - More Romantische Strasse stops.
May 5 - Overnight in Dinkelsbühl. Charming.
May 6 - Rothenburg.

Dom, rebuilt after the War. We leave Würzburg, the end of the Romantic Road, then drive to Frankfurt where we spend the night; May 7 - We drop off the Volvo at the shippers, then board PanAm for AM flight to NY. Go to LaGuardia for United, then NW to MSP where Jerry Hannon and Jim, Mo & Tori Hoeschler greet us. Pick up our car at Edgecumbe, then home to Gem Lake & gorgeous weather!
