May 11, 2002: Ruth Gunderson memorial service at Norskedalen in LaX where Jack is a guest speaker. Nana still dresses up well (and enjoys doing so) but her mind leaves her. She happily thinks that despite the snow, she's living in Naples. Brunch at the LaX Country Club, now located on the North side of town.

June 12: Snapper comes up hill to lay eggs, and is determined to get into the cabin! LLH finally got her to lay her eggs outside our front door. Our deer love acorns & oak leaves that the squirrels shake loose.
Jul 11: Leaetta Hough hosts ACF Board dinner. Jul 19: Elayne Aiple and her daughter, Jan Plaskett, throw a surprise 59th birthday for LLH on the St Croix River.

We tour Redstone Castle, also known as Cleveholm Manor, built in 1897 as the baronial manor of wealthy easterner John Cleveland Osgood and his Swedish wife.
