Aug 27: Jack and LLH take Fritz to UND where he spends a year, then returns to GWU to finish up his degree. Breakfast at our B&B day after 27th anniversary; parents with Fritz.
Day of Judgment tableau: Jack's anniversary gift! We drive to Roseau and attend its Settler's Festival.
We drive onto Hibbing and view an Hull Rust open pit mine "Grand Canyon." Old downtown Hibbing boasts Bob Dylan's origins.
Aunt Eyvonne Wederquist rides up the hill to the cabin in the lawnmower wagon: John Doyle steadies her on the ride (she died in Dec'93). Labor Day at the cabin: composer Cung Tien, niece and spouse, Josee, & Mark Liberman picnic with us. LLH and JGH sport athletic-wear!
Art and Diana Cohen visit from Baltimore; a custom table we ordered in Santa Fe with Mandu and Sterling's image at each end (a "bluebird" nest of sorts anchors the glass).

We spend a delightful and meaningful Thanksgiving '93 in St. Pete, FL with SEL Sr. We stay at the Don CeSar, one of Daddy's faves as a bachelor. The hotel was being renovated so we got a decent rate on our suite--so glad we did this since Dad died 2 years later. This was one of his last good flings.
