The Minnesota Museum of American Art

In the 1990’s James Czarnecki, Director of the Minnesota Museum of American Art in Saint Paul consulted with Jack Hoeschler and John Mannillo about relocating the Museum to the Pioneer and Endicott Buildings. Jack Hoeschler’s idea was to sell the first two floors of the two Endicott buildings and the Pioneer Building, which were all physically connected to the Museum, as a new location. It was on the corner of 4th and Robert Streets in Saint Paul.

The Museum was unable at the time to raise adequate funding for the construction and relocation. James Czarnecki later passed away. But then the Museum’s new administration was able to raise the funding and realized Jack’s idea.
