Lowertown Future Fund, Inc./Lowertown Residential Improvement District (LRID)
Lowertown Redevelopment Corporation liquidated its assets in 2007. A doner advised fund was established from the remaining funds. When the funds were depleted through grants, the remaining endowment was granted to a 501-C3 charitable corporation was approved by the IRS and registered with Minnesota by Jack Hoeschler and John Mannillo. Both were Directors of the corporation. This was in 2021. The plan was to then establish a Lowertown Residential Improvement District (LRID).
This would be the first Residential Improvement District for an urban neighborhood in the country. As our attorney and on the Board of Directors, Jack helped set the initial course for this kind of private property owner investment.
